What We Offer

In addition to hydroseeding services, we offer site preparation services to provide consultation about existing soils and expected outcomes. We have the ability, using a skid-steer, to move soil and improve drainage or reshape the land prior to seeding. We offer finished grading to smooth bumps and low spots, remove stones, and prepare the seedbed. We will often plant the seed into the soil using various rakes to provide better seed to soil contact. The hydroseeding blanket follows this process. Germination usually takes 15 to 30 days depending on seed type, irrigation, or natural rainfall timing. Seeding can be done as early as March or as late as October.  

Hydroseeding

Hydroseeding is a planting process that uses a slurry of seed and mulch. It is often used as an erosion control technique on construction sites as an alternative to the traditional broadcasting or sowing dry seed.

Benefits of Hydroseeding

There are several benefits of the hydroseeding process to revitalize your landscape project.

  • It helps to reduce mud and dust that is a result of construction
  • It can also help control erosion and runoff if the location is on a hillside or slope
  • Hydroseeding has many benefits over using sod. Hydroseeding is much more affordable than using sod, especially when considering a large parcel of land. There are many options for grass types. There are lawn types to pasture grasses. Tall growing or short. Fine textured or coarse. Irrigated or nonirrigated. Wildflower mixes are also available.

Site Preparation

Site preparation is an important part of your project. We work with our customers to get the site prepared for seeding. Depending on the site, we may loosen the existing soil, remove embedded rocks, and fine grade the contours. The seed is then raked into the soil using various raking techniques. This creates better seed to soil contact needed for proper germination. Then the slurry mix of mulch, fertilizer, and more seed is applied.

After evaluating the customer’s requirements, we provide suggestions based on what works best for their property.
